Terms of service
The agreement between your garage and us. Short, because a long one usually means somebody is hiding something.
The arrangement
You use Auto Garage to run your workshop. We keep it running, keep your data yours, and charge you for it. Either of us can end the arrangement.
Your account
- You are responsible for who you give access to and what they do with it
- Keep sign-in details private, anyone holding them can act as you
- Tell us promptly if you think an account has been compromised
Your data is yours
Everything you record stays yours. You can export any list, and a vehicle’s full service record, at any time and without asking. We do not hold data hostage to keep a customer.
What we will do
- Keep the service available, and tell you honestly when it is not
- Give notice before a change that would alter how you work
- Fix security problems quickly, and say what happened
What we cannot promise
Uninterrupted service. We are not yet operating under a formal uptime commitment and will not pretend otherwise. When something breaks we will say so, say why, and say what we changed.
Paying
Billed per branch, monthly, in advance. Cancel at any time and the account runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not bill for a renewal you did not agree to.
Acceptable use
- Do not use it to store anything unlawful
- Do not attempt to reach another garage’s workspace
- Do not use customer contact details for anything the customer did not expect
The last one matters most. A customer gave a garage their number so their car could be fixed, not so it could be marketed to by somebody else.
Ending it
Close your account whenever you like. Export first, after thirty days your data is gone, and we cannot bring it back.
